Mission Statement
Heroes’ Journey is a community art initiative that celebrates local volunteers - the champions whose selfless service forms the backbone of our towns. Through striking portraits and intimate storytelling, we illuminate these unsung heroes, preserving their legacies in exhibitions and keepsake books that inspire generations.
Why your donation matters
Heroes Journey – Surf Coast Heroes is a grassroots, not-for-profit initiative powered entirely by community spirit and volunteer effort. But to bring this project to life, we need your support.
Your donation helps cover essential costs including:
- Website hosting, apps, and tools
- Accounting and administration
- Portrait production, printing and framing
- Venue hire and exhibition launch and expenses
- Coffee table book design, printing, and publishing
Every dollar goes directly toward celebrating our local heroes – those selfless volunteers who give so much and ask for nothing. No one is paid; all work is done by volunteers, and 100% of profits will be donated back into local Surf Coast charities and community initiatives.

But it doesn’t stop there. Once project costs are covered, 100% of all profits will be donated back into other Surf Coast charities, not-for-profits, and grassroots community efforts.
