Donation terms and conditions

1. Donation acceptance

Donations to Heroes Journey: Surf Coast Heroes (“the Project”) support:
– Project related web, marketing, admin and licensing overheads.
– Production of the portraits, exhibition and book.
– Local charities selected by the Project (to be listed on www.heroesjourney.com.au).
Donations are voluntary and non-refundable except in cases of error or fraud, as permitted under Australian consumer law.
We reserve the right to refuse or refund donations that violate these terms.

2. Use of funds

Funds raised will be directed to:
– Project costs (exhibition, book production).
– Local Surf Coast charities, as announced on our website.
Financial statements will be available upon request.

3. Payment methods

Accepted payment processors:
Credit/Debit Cards (via Stripe/PayPal).
Bank transfers (details provided upon request).
All transactions are processed in AUD (Australian Dollars).
All online donations are processed via PCI DSS-compliant gateways (Stripe/PayPal). We do not store credit card details.

4. Tax deductibility

Donations to Heroes Journey: Surf Coast Heroes are not tax-deductible unless made through a partnered DGR-registered charity.
Receipts will be issued automatically for all donations over $2 AUD.

5. Refunds and cancellations

Refund requests: Must be made within 14 days of donation. Contact info@heroesjourney.com.au with proof of payment.
Recurring donations: Can be cancelled anytime via your donor portal or by emailing us.

6. Privacy

Donor information (name, email, amount) is collected securely and used solely for:
– Processing donations and sending receipts/project updates (opt-out available).
We do not store credit card details. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7. Amendments

These terms may be updated periodically. Continued donations constitute acceptance of changes.

8. Complaints
